1 - What is ACTA?

ACTA is the first Spin-off founded by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The term spin-off states the creation of a company of private law, based on knowledge and research of the University. ACTA leads, providing a wide range of IT certifications, both specialized and professional, to meet current and future labor market demands. ACTA certifications are divided into the following categories

3 - Whom does this certification address?

EVERYONE!

The certifications ACTA provides are addressed to students, university students, the unemployed, clerks, executives of the public and private sector. To everyone who understands that today it is simply not enough to know how to use a computer but also to be able to prove it through reliable certificates.

4 - Which are ACTA's certifications?

5 - Are ACTA's certificates acknowledged by the Greek State?

By the number Γ/12017/18-5-2006 decision of the Board of ΟΕΕΚ, the CCU certifications (Certified Computer User) in knowledge of computer usage that ACTA offers, are acknowledged by the Greek State.

6 - Which is the syllabus for each Certification?

In the Certifications section, the ACTA certifications are summarized by category. Next to each certification there is a link through which the respective syllabus is available for each certification separately.

7 - Are there available demo tests of ACTA?

In the Certifications section, the ACTA certifications are summarized by category. Next to each certification there is a link through which a sample test (demo) is available for each certification separately. Anyone who wishes, can register for exams conducted by ACTA, as long as they turn to a collaborating Examination Center or visit the official website of the Company, fill in a Candidate Application with their information, sign it and hand it to the Exams Supervisor or send it to the ACTA head offices.

8 - How can I participate in the exams?

9 - What should I bring with me the day of the examination?

On the day of the examination the examinee must turn up in time at the Testing Center and bring:

  • The Registration Card (for the certifications required)
  • The Identification Document that has been declared
  • Copy of High School Certificate or Solemn Statement proving that he/she is a Secondary Education graduate (for the certifications required)

10 - Which is the examination process?

The process that is followed, is described in detail in the section Examination Process.

11 - What is the success rate in the exams?

The examination of a thematic unit is considered to be successful when the examinee has answered correctly at least 70% of the test subjects.

12 - If I fail at the exams, can I retake the examination?

There is no limitation at the number of participations in the examinations.

13 - How can I submit my objection concerning the examination results?

Objections can be submitted within 10 days from the day the exams were held, by filling out the corresponding form which is available not only in all the certified examination centres of ACTA but also in ACTA's official website. The objection is examined by the certification council and the decision is announced on paper to the candidate.

14 - How much does the issuance of the certificate take?

When the exams are completed with success in all the thematic units of the requested certification, the certificate is issued within 25 working days at the longest. The certificate is of unique count and the data is available via the official website of ACTA.

15 - What is the certificate supervision procedure?

If a candidate wishes it can be stated in the application for registration to participate in the automatic renewal and reissuing of the Certificate obtained. In this case, the Solemn Statement of Certificate Monitoring must be filled in and sent to ACTA on a yearly basis stating how they used this certificate in the past year.

16 - What is the re-certification process?

Re-certification is required in the following cases :

  • Failure to timely notify 3 consecutive Monitoring Statements (if the candidate has stated participation in this procedure) or
  • Change of syllabus or
  • If someone certified wants to

In the first case, the examination, evaluation and certification process is repeated from the beginning. In the second only the changed sections are examined. In both these cases the certified person is informed in time by ACTA via e-mail and letter, for the option of reissuing the certification, as long as he/she takes part in the planned examination and certification Procedure.

17 - How can I check the validity of my certificate?
