Certified Professional Barista - CPB
The certification “Certified Professional Barista” was created by Acta to certify that its holder has the necessary knowledge and skills that are required for the manufacture of coffee and other beverages. The program includes all the necessary fields of knowledge that must be held by every professional barista. Also, this program explains the basic principles of coffee processing, serving and maintenance.
Covering a wide range of knowledge, from the cultivation of coffee and the several techniques of making coffee to the most qualitative and fascinating way of serving, this certification is a strong asset for every Barista who wants to work for a hotel, tourist or food unit and prove his or her professionalism.
The examination process is divided into two separate parts, consisting of written examination and practical examination. In written examination, the candidate is asked to answer 30 closed-ended questions. In practical examination, the candidate is asked to apply 5 scenarios similar to the field of study of this certification. Duration of written examination: 60 minutes. Duration of practical examination: 15 minutes. Success rate in written examination: 70%. Success rate in practical examination: 70%. The candidate obtains the certification only if he/she completes successfully both phases of examination process.
